Aylesbury Goes to the Circus

All the boats from Aylesbury town basin have now moved to the new basin at Circus Field - about a mile up the canal. We made a flying visit on Sunday.

Aylesbury Town Basin

The basin where we have spent several winters is looking a little forlorn: the emptiness is accentuated by the monolithic constructions which border it.  Travelodge and Waitrose are now open.

The clubhouse structure will not be completed until the new year and the fitting out will take a while, but quality of facilities has not been compromised anywhere and there is a cosy feel to the place already.
