Rain, rain, go away
Come again another day
The weather is not being kind to us. We cannot apply the blacking when it it raining and it keeps raining.
Yesterday the rain stopped and Gecko was dry enough to do some blacking around 7pm so we got a couple of hours work in before it was too dark to see what we were doing. Black is not the colour to be painting in the dark!
This morning is showery again but at least we can paint the bottom whilst it is raining. Each coat needs 24 hours to cure before a second coat is applied so it takes four days to apply two coats assuming no interruptions.
Norris and Sons have just called to say they have balanced and fettled our prop so we will break now and collect it.
