Throughout the campaigning for the referendum we were repaeatedly reminded of how much the Scots have contributed to Education, Science, Business and Medicine. we can now thank them for raising the possibility of more devolved powers from the UK government to the constituent countires. Nothing we in England could have done would have been taken seriously.

ReplyDeleteThis blog has soothed my modern angst many a time (loved the tall ships entry recently) and originally coming from Leighton Buzzard (now in Wales), I have enjoyed seeing snippets of old Beds and Bucks along the way.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement (without a mention of the typos) . Without comments it is sometimes a lonely business bolgging away into the ether. We have been away from Gecko for about a month exercising our camper van. We are also away next week but do not dersert the blog.
